How do you rate the level of difficulty of your trips?
We try to match the terrain to the group’s fitness and interest level. Here’s our cheat sheet:
Cappuccino: Level terrain, 20 to 30 miles a day, with under 1,000 feet a day of elevation gain.
Espresso: Moderate terrain, rolling hills with a few climbs, 30 to 50 miles per day with under 3,000 feet a day of elevation gain.
Double Espresso: Hilly terrain and long distances, from 50 to 80 miles a day, with some days including more than 6,000 feet of elevation gain.
